Our work together is rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and understanding rather than judgment or trying to fix what's wrong with you.
We'll explore the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and protective responses that have developed throughout your life and the experiences that may have shaped them. Rather than viewing these patterns as problems to get rid of, we'll get curious about where they came from, what purpose they've served, and what they might still be trying to protect you from.
Using parts work and somatic approaches, we'll make space to better understand your internal experiences, reconnect with your body's cues, and explore the ways past experiences continue to influence how you relate to yourself and others. We'll pay attention to the connections between your thoughts, emotions, body, relationships, and behaviors to develop a more complete understanding of what's happening beneath the surface. I also talk about this more down below this page.

I work with adults navigating the complexities of identity, relationships, loss, and the experiences that have shaped who they are.
I especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and those navigating questions of identity, belonging, and connection. I also work with people carrying the weight of complex trauma, attachment wounds, and grief-including the loss of people, relationships, versions of themselves, or expectations for how life would unfold.
You may find yourself repeating patterns in relationships, feeling disconnected from yourself, struggling to make sense of past experiences, or noticing that the ways you've learned to protect yourself no longer feel helpful. Maybe you've spent a lot of time understanding your experiences intellectually but still feel stuck

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (Level 1), Brainspotting (Phases 1 & 2), Coherence Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST).
These approaches are rooted in the understanding that our patterns, emotional responses, and protective strategies develop for a reason. Rather than focusing solely on changing behaviors or managing symptoms, our work involves understanding the experiences that shaped you, making sense of the ways you've learned to navigate the world, and creating space for new experiences and ways of relating to yourself. I also pull from other modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when appropriate.

I accept Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, Cigna, Providence, Moda Health, and United Healthcare.
Using insurance can make therapy more affordable and accessible. Some people choose to pay out of pocket because it can offer greater flexibility and privacy.
When insurance is used, therapists are required to provide a mental health diagnosis at the first session and may need to share certain information about treatment with the insurance company. Paying privately allows therapy to remain more confidential and avoids some of these requirements.
If I am not in network with your insurance or plan and have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

I am licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon. This means you must be physically located in Oregon at the time of each session. I offer therapy virtually throughout Oregon, as well as in-person sessions in Portland, Oregon.

You can reach out through my contact form to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This is an opportunity for us to briefly connect, discuss what you're looking for in therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for whether working together might be a good fit.
If we decide to move forward, I'll send you the necessary intake paperwork to complete before our first session. From there, we'll begin getting to know one another, explore what brings you to therapy, and start identifying what you'd like our work together to look like.
You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start wherever you are.
What can I expect?
Resources!
Throughout our work together, I'll offer psychoeducation into our sessions to help you better understand your experiences, patterns, and nervous system. I also enjoy sharing resources you can explore at your own pace, including books, podcasts, websites, social media accounts, and referrals to other professionals when helpful. These are always offered as options, not expectations.
Relational Experience
Being a relational therapist is central to how I practice. I believe the relationship we build together is an important part of therapy.
I'll take accountability and apologize when I get something wrong, and invite conversations about your boundaries and what feels supportive in our work together. When I share parts of my own identity or experiences, I'll check in about how that lands for you and make space for your perspective.
I don't expect the therapeutic relationship to be perfect. I believe there is value in being able to talk openly about what's working, what isn't, and what might need to shift. Building that kind of relationship takes collaboration, curiosity, and a willingness to be human with one another.
Strength based
I don’t like to pathologize. I believe that many behaviors we have come from our needs to protect ourselves & experience connection.I believe in exploring all parts of you with compassion, understanding that the ways you’ve adapted are meaningful responses to your life experiences.
I work from an anti oppressive lens which means I focus on being non coercive, challenging any power dynamics in therapy and being as collaborative as possible.
